Danielle and Matt were married this past weekend at Cascades Manor in Jackson, Michigan.  I’ve loved having my first two weddings of the year take place here as it has stretched my creativity out of the box so neither wedding has identical images.  I dislike doing the same things over and over, so with each wedding, I tailor my images and my posing to each couple, or in this case, I take them to a slightly different location for portraits so neither couple have the same photo. I will say, Danielle LOVED the gazebo photo I did with Kendall and Alex, (check out their blog post here to sneak a peek!) so we did do the same set up for that particular shot!

The day was beautiful. The girls were gorgeous – hair and makeup were done by the ladies at Divinity Design Studio here in Jackson, MI, and the dresses were from Patty’s Bridal in Quincy.  The moment I arrived, all I felt was excitement and love.   The girls were catering to Danielle, helping her at every opportunity.  Smiles were on every face in the room.

Throughout the entire wedding day, the recurring theme of “family” was everywhere.  Family, whether celebrating in person or from the heavens.  Family, joining the bride and groom toghether as one instead of separate sides.  Family, by blood or by choice.  There was no such thing as outsiders or friends, only family.
